Game Cast is a scorebook, live video and player-record app for youth baseball and softball. This page says what the app keeps about you and your family, why, who else sees it, and how to get rid of it.
Effective September 26, 2026. Game Cast is offered in the United States only and is written for United States law. Beta version; the policy will be updated before the app stores release. Game Cast is operated by the company being formed to own it; this page will name that company, and give its mailing address, before the app stores release.
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), account type | When you create an account | To sign you in, verify your email, and show your name to your team |
| Profile photo and a short bio | If you add them | Shown to your team; coaches and scouts are asked for a photo so families know who they are |
| Player records: first and last name, date of birth, jersey number, position, photo, bio, walk-up song choice, stats from scored games | When a coach adds a player or a parent claims one | The player's record across seasons; the date of birth decides whether a parent must hold the record |
| Which players you are a parent or guardian of | When you claim a player with the coach's code and the player's date of birth | To let you see and manage your child's record and receive alerts about them |
| Team memberships, follows, RSVPs, team messages, game chat | As you use them | To run the team |
| Game logs: every pitch and play, with the name of the account that entered it | When a game is scored | The team's record of the game; box scores and stats come from it |
| Live video and recordings of games, and clips cut from them | When a volunteer streams a game | Watching live and replays in the app; auto-clips of plays |
| A push-notification subscription for your device | If you turn on game alerts | To send you alerts about your player and games |
| Basic technical logs: IP address, browser, pages requested | Automatically, on the web server | Security and troubleshooting; kept a short time |
Game Cast does not use advertising, tracking pixels or analytics networks, and does not sell or rent any of this.
Many players are under 18, and some are under 13. Game Cast never collects information from a child directly. What we hold about a player under 13 (name, date of birth, jersey number, photo, stats) is provided by that child's parent or guardian, or by a coach with the permission parents give the league at registration. Records are created by a coach and held by a parent or guardian, who claims the record with a code from the coach plus the child's date of birth. Players 18 and older can hold their own record. Children under 13 never get accounts of their own; the app refuses them by date of birth, and a parent holds the record. Players 13 to 17 may open an account only with a parent's email, and the account does nothing until that parent approves it from their own account. A parent can see, edit or ask us to delete a child's record at any time from the player page or by contacting us, and can withdraw approval by asking us to delete the child's account.
Coaches add players' photos with the permission parents give the league at registration. Game Cast keeps its own record too: a parent or guardian is asked to consent, on their own account, to their child's name and photo being shown to the people connected to the team and in game video and clips. Until a parent has consented, a minor's photo is visible only to the team's coaches and to that child's parents or guardians; everyone else sees initials. A parent can withdraw consent from My account at any time. Any parent or legal guardian, whether or not they have a Game Cast account, may have their child's photo removed by emailing us; we do it promptly and confirm by reply.
Live video is watched only inside Game Cast by people signed in and connected to the game. Streams are not public links. Recordings are kept for 90 days at most by the video service and are then deleted unless a clip has been saved from them. The person streaming is a volunteer from the team; recording a game at a public field is the team's decision, not ours.
Game Cast runs on our own servers in the United States. A small number of third-party service providers handle specific jobs on our behalf, and each sees only what that job needs:
These providers are bound to use the data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. If you want the names of the providers we use at any time, email us and we will tell you.
To delete a child's record, or if you cannot get into the account, email us and we will do it by hand.
Everything travels over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. Sign-in tokens are hashed at rest and expire. Video plays only with a short-lived signed token issued to a signed-in member. The server keeps no card numbers; if Game Cast ever charges for anything, payment will be handled by a payment provider and not stored here.

The company that operates Game Cast, and a postal address for it, will be named here before the app stores release. Until then this address reaches the person responsible for the app and for anything on this page.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the app will tell you the next time you sign in.
